Dr Grace O'Donovan is a professional plant ecologist who has worked as an academic in several universities, both in Ireland and the UK. Her specialist field is the use of remote sensing and GIS to map semi-natural habitats. She has also led research work on habitat restoration on farmed landscapes in Ireland, particularly in relation to field margins and constructed wetlands.
For the last four years, Grace has been involved full time in protected species work in the UK and has a licence from Natural England to disturb bats.
Ms Carolyn Billingsley BSc

Carolyn is a trained zoologist with several years’ experience in reptile translocation and monitoring. She is also training for her bat licence and has recently successfully completed a training course in tree climbing.
Carolyn has just completed a post-grad Certificate in Biological Monitoring and is starting an MSc in Ecology and Management of the Natural Environment at Bristol University.

Jude is director of Wildworks Ecology, an independant consultancy based in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Jude has worked extensively with wetlands and their ecology throughout Europe, has been involved in management planning and habitat creation, has experience with GIS (Mapinfo) and is a recognised bat expert. Field Assistant 
James has recently graduated from University of the West of England in Environmental Biology and has four years experience working in practical conservation, both on protected species (bats, great crested newts, water voles and reptiles) and on tree survey to BS8357:2005. Through volunteering, he has also developed practical skills in relation to woodland management. James is also interested in wildlife photography and has used this skill to enhance his project delivery.
James has a dormouse Licence and a Great Crested Newt Licence. He is also working towards his bat Licence
